Why SPIRITUAL MENTORSHIP?

The path to Personal and Spiritual Sovereignty is not linear, it exists in a constant state of flux. We are always being invited to grow, learn, evolve and expand into deeper states of consciousness. To know and experience ourselves as multidimensional beings - an aspect of Spirit (Source) that has a soul and a body.

Born out of this unfolding, which some may call awakening, is to integrate soul-level awareness into the everyday living and taking soul-led custodianship of our vessel across the physical, mental and emotional levels (to the degree we are able).

A journey of moving beyond survival-based living (fear orientation) into thriving (love based living/wisdom), through which we get the opportunity to build sturdier vertical (spirit, soul) and horizontal (human, worldly) connections.

The spiritual mentoring relationship therefore, forms part of a sacred kinship through which you are supported and championed to undergo that process.

That said, mentoring is not a “fix me” space. Quite the opposite.

Instead, an opportunity to undergo a deep integrated process through the safety of a guide.

‍A process that can be likened to that of learning to ride a bike for the first time  -  starting with training wheels, it often  feels clunky and unfamiliar  - yet over time becomes second nature.

‍The unique 1:1 space gives you the opportunity to become familiar with the tools and to unpack themes and areas ready for strengthening and refining.

More often than not, this will be an experience of building awareness, then having a go at strengthening and rebuilding foundations as you have a go at stepping into greater expanded states of being. In the same way that building a second story on a house would require a stronger foundation.  So too do you.

It’s also a space to celebrate progress - for you to be exactly where you are and exactly as you are. Where you are witnessed and celebrated in your own right.

Time outside of the mentoring sessions is often described as going off on a journey into the forest.

On this journey, you take a backpack with your map, tools, and equipment  - and you have a go at using them.

These represent major opportunities to try out new tools, integrate new knowing and become aware of the places that are not longer in alignment with where we are heading. It’s an exciting time were letting the old go and trying out the new naturally arises.

A place where transformation becomes the central focus and naturally unfolds, and most importantly an opportunity to live out of new and expanded states.

And while, indeed there is a certain amount of will and courage needed for that process, nothing is forced. It’s all your choosing.

With that you will find growth naturally arises out of new alignment and orientation and sometimes too…out of pure frustration with the old and the results they yield.

And so, getting the opportunity to “walk the talk” in our own right, is a crucial part of the journey and of course is where the rubber truly hits the road.

That said, there will, inevitably be times when we trip over, graze our elbows, feel lost, or get stuck.

These are those moments when we might radio our mentor in - for guidance:

This may metaphorically sound like:

“I feel lost. I tripped up, and it’s dark. I’m not sure which way to go.”

In these moments we remember a mentor’s role is never to rescue or save. It is to trust and support you to recognise you have all that you need within you  - just as they have come to appreciate for themselves.

So, they may offer instead deeper self-enquiry: What do you have in your backpack? This relates to the map and tools; they may remind you of what you have and what you can use.

Example:

“I’m lost.” → Mentor: Do you have your compass?  This relates to your alignment, and assist you to regain orientation.

It’s dark” I can’t see where I’m going.” → mentor: Do you have your torch? This relates to bringing light and illumination to whatever is coming up, so we may see that shining our light is a choice, and a superpower – in this way we experience its in our power to choose to keep our light on.

“I’m injured.” → Mentor: Do you have your first aid kit? This relates to both feeling is healing process and bringing in the qualities we need in those moments, for instance calm assurance, healing, love into the space.

Either way, whatever comes up along the journey you will be championed, encouraged and sometimes challenged to be your own medicine.

As it’s through this process that the empirical evidence that you’ve got you arises and your confidence and sense of soul-identity strengthens.

We learn through experience to be self-sourcing and less externally led.

This is one of the many gifts of the journey …

𝓘𝓽 𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓼 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝔀𝓲𝓵𝓵𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓷𝓮𝓼𝓼 & 𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓸𝓷𝓰 𝓯𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓭𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓼:

‍ As shared building our foundations are crucial.

Much like the example of the foundation of a house - if the foundations are faulty or not steady enough, the walls and roof will not be able to withstand an incoming gust of wind or a bout of prolonged heavy weather.

‍And, even when the foundation is steady and seemingly strong, once we wish to add another storey… we will inevitably need, to some degree demolish/add on and rebuild the foundation to support the additional weight and become more resilient. It’s all part of leveling up.

If we don’t engage in foundational work, we will inevitably avoid growth and even find ourselves potentially building faulty houses.

All of which is a common pitfall on the journey to self-actualisation.

‍So, as we step more and more into life and align to deeper authenticity and love, it is inevitable that will require stronger and stronger foundations to support us.

Therefore, taking a more intentional approach to integrating our multidimensional beingness across all the layers ( physical, mental, emotional and soul body ) gives us the opportunity to test out those foundations and embody healthier expressions  - so we may ultimately become loving influences on the planet through our choices, deeds, and words.

There is a saying: Healer, Heal Thyself, and this directly relates to our willingness to take radical responsibility for our own healing and evolution, so that we may first embody the LOVE we wish to express out into the world.

A journey that really does start with us.

𝓦𝓱𝔂 𝓲𝓼 𝓲𝓽 𝓷𝓮𝓬𝓮𝓼𝓼𝓪𝓻𝔂 ?

The world we live in can feel disjointed, and many of the patterns and ways of being are oriented toward survival, rather than thriving (fear vs Love). This not only creates unnecessary suffering and pain for us but for the ones around us. And if we wish to be and see more love on the planet, we must learn to shift the aspects of our own being from fear to love. From futility to wisdom and from powerlessness to self-determination.

The lower expressions (fear) we see, and experience tends to be directly linked in with the level of identity and consciousness much of the world currently lives out of. The same is true for us. This is why raising our base frequency is imperative.

And with that comes a turning point in our awakening when we can no longer unsee the distortion - yet still feel bound by a world that no longer resonates.

This of course creates confusion and discomfort. As a result, some may turn to varies types of substance abuse, seeking extreme pleasure, or even extreme spirituality, healers, and gurus to feel better or connect to our higher knowing or on the flip side disengage from the trappings of the day-to-day life.

But what’s really happening is that the soul cannot continue the way it has been going  - and yet, it doesn’t quite know the new way yet. And so, the saying arises, when the student is ready the teacher arrives.

There are certainly many spiritual schools that focus solely on vertical ascension, teaching that awakening to our innate consciousness will instantly transform us.

And while in the preliminary stages awakening is the starting point and we do often see major changes at first, the real difficulty arises in the integration.

We realise we may touch into higher consciousness  - sometimes even embody it for a moment or time but inevitably be unable to hold it and live it day to day.

This is where we can develop, a high -low split or begin spiritual bypassing  - whereby we become aware of the spiritual perspective but turn away or are completely unaware of our own behaviour on the ground.

This can sometimes manifest in unknowingly rejecting our human experience  - or conversely for others swinging into rejecting the soul experience, causing a split in identity. While what we are really longing for is to come into the wholeness (spirit in human form)

Another expression of this split can present as “spiritual pride” - where we may a believe that because we’ve experienced something higher or perceivably more evolved ,we “know better” or are more enlightened. But that, too, is a clear sign of non-integration, and a spiritualised ego.

And finally at the other end of the spectrum, some become completely identified with the human experience  - eat, drink, procreate, survive  - while rejecting the spiritual as delusional.

Neither position is inherently balanced and is the cause of much suffering.

The Truth Is:

When a learning is truly integrated, we live more out of humility, compassion, harmony unity and equilibrium, state experienced as coming into completion.

A place where we no longer judge, instead discern, which is not only very different but very necessary.

We come to know and appreciate through our own experience and integration that any expression of darkness is simply an absence of light. A part that has indeed forgotten its divinity.

‍And often, it’s through first harmonising our own darkness that we begin to see this more clearly.

Ultimately, all judgement is a mirror into our limits on love  - a reflection of where we still say,

“I can love anything… but that.”

Judgment too, emanates a vibrational frequency that draws towards us opportunity to “understand” this is unavoidable.

That said non-judgment is not this not about passive acceptance or condoning harmful behaviour. Quite the opposite.

Through healthy discernment, we get to choose:

If the said action or behaviour is in alignment with the highest good (Wisdom), through which we may choose to engage with it or conversely that which is not, through which we may choose to not engage with it - while holding a deeply compassionate awareness that the part in question is simply disconnected from light.

Not good vs bad. Just in alignment with a love-based orientation.

‍In this way we accept that everyone is entitled to their experience. It is not our job to judge anothers place on that learning journey.

Experience is the greatest teacher, and we are all governed by life’s cause and effect laws no matter how green the grass may seem.

Our responsibility then, is not to oppose or judge, but to model what it looks like to make the highest choice we can  - and if this ignites a flicker in someone else’s heart, so be it.

This understanding is never final. It will always be evolving.

‍You may have touched into something another has not, or vice versa - it matters not.

Our job is to honour our own stage of learning and experience.

𝓘𝓽 𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓮𝓼 𝓫𝓪𝓬𝓴 𝓽𝓸 - 𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓰𝓻𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷.

Allowing all that we are to ground and express here and now.

And so, one could say signs of true integration shows up as the capacity to hold and model greater levels of love-wisdom and discernment - because Love in its highest octave will always call you forward.

With Love Always,

Jen
