𝓗𝓪𝓻𝓶𝓸𝓷𝔂 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓑𝓪𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓮.

𝓛𝓸𝓿𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓼,

Today’s beautiful Libra 𝓔𝓺𝓾𝓲𝓷𝓸𝔁, arrived in its exactness 8:05am Perth time and Tuesday 22nd at 7:05pm Central USA. 

A time carrying invitational currents of recalibration and balance, which, if we are open, draws us deeper into relationship with life and the energetic flows here.

A moment to journey deeper into the feeling nature, the senses behind that of the mind, beyond that of needing to know and into a space where sensory perception is natural and knowing is instead felt.

Wherever you find yourself reading this, if space is available to you, simply tune in to your heart, allow yourself to breathe into your beautiful being-ness, much like that of tuning into a radio station where, when you find the channel, the static clears and the signal is coherent and harmonious.

From this place, be invited into the theme of 𝓗𝓪𝓻𝓶𝓸𝓷𝔂 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓑𝓪𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓮. 

For those unaware, and of course aware be reminded, equinox occurs twice a year during the seasons of Spring and Autumn. A time when the Sun crosses the celestial equator, bringing day and night into their closest dance. This dance of almost complete exactitude, between light and dark can be observed through the contrast of equal day to night. 🌓

A time where we not only see but feel the striking yet natural meeting point that exists through polarity. In the same way that we might experience that of breathing, through the simple inward and outward breath.

A perfect mirror into the observable and experiential physical existence we find ourselves in. Where we, as the beings that we are, experience our consciousness through physical reality as a beautiful and unique fractal of the whole, through the powerful instrument of the human body.

As we have been exploring, the heart, mind and energetic field are not separate, but interconnected aspects through which we orient, express and transmit. So, as the mind aligns more deeply with love, our words, deeds and actions begin to more naturally reflect that alignment.

In this way, we experience first hand the power of a steady, coherent heart and torus field, and the ways that coherence becomes central to our energetic protection and our ability to interact and co-create with subtler fields of energy.

As this coherence is carried directly into expression, it resonates through the larynx and out into our words, where truth can not only be heard but felt through vibration. All of which is deeply felt, reflected and reinforced through the waters of our being, cultivating an environment increasingly incompatible with fear that naturally limits its influence.

An important distinction here, being that latent capacities within the human instrument are not simply acquired, instead already present. Our ability to access and interact with them, however, reflects the clarity we hold, our existing beliefs and practices, and our willingness to continually re-orient.

Hence using moments such as these as invitations into greater attunement.

An added dimension too, depending on where we find ourselves on this spinning rock throughout equinox is that of feeling and experiencing the seasons, and witnessing the ways Gaia is always moving in flow within the cyclical nature here. We witness continuous transitions of stillness into movement, and movement into stillness and the same is true for each of us.

This particular Equinox however not only highlights that dance but mirrors quite potently the ways harmony and balance and ultimately unity may function in a physical existence.

We cannot perceive seasons, light or darkness or life and death without the contrast, there would simply be nothingness or sameness.

This quite spectacularly highlights that within an earth school experience there is a necessity for both contrast/polarity and continual recalibration and realignment as we journey along individually and collectively speaking.

In this way we are always naturally being invited to move into flow with those cycles, and partake in a conscious conversation within that greater journey.

Where we get a sense for where we are in relation to truth, harmony and balance, and where, of course, we have swung far off centre, inviting us then to reorient and recalibrate.

Astrologically speaking, this is magnified significantly with the Sun moving into Libra, a sign carrying the energetic imprint of the scales ⚖️ which greatly flavours the themes of balance, truth, and responsibility. In its call for balance, harmony and equilibrium can be heard. Something in the “work” we refer to as learning to “walk the laser edge line”.

Libra too, is ruled by the planet Venus, and Venus in her highest octave is associated with unrelenting Unconditional Love, magnetism, sacredness, receptivity, and compassion. A planet in a literal sense that is a living inferno ❤️‍🔥. In this way it brings a type of spiritual energetic fire which acts as a transformative force upon our currently held perceptions of love, asking us to transmute lesser expressions into those that magnetise our collective consciousness toward greater love and unity.

Paired with Libra’s call to balance, these qualities form a potent combination. And if you allow yourself this energy is indeed palpable.

In this way equinox is simply a point of reorientation. An invitation to realign our sails, to notice where we may have swung out of balance, in the context of the “work” we do in session where we might notice our pendulum swings.

Perhaps we overlooked a personal truth that is right in front of us, that we are trading for temporary comfort at the cost of the ultimate truth. Which inadvertently comes at a greater cost to us and all concerned. 

Examples on a collective scale may be environmental, political or economic decisions that deliver short-term gain but have devastating long-term impacts on the collective. And personally speaking, relational dynamics, and personal environmental choices that feel comfortable or familiar but are causing long-term harm are equally being highlighted. Because as trivial as our personal choices may seem in our everyday living, the choices we each make do  indeed have an impact.

In this way, sometimes what we might characterise as “love” may hold degrees of unclarity masquerading as love, that are not in service of truly  love based outcomes.

A truth one must be willing to look under the hood to uncover in order to move into harmony.

And so this time, as we have recently explored, is a time about radical honesty, and reviewing and reorienting these places to the ultimate truth and balance.

Not to be mistaken with judgment or condemnation, but a calling forward. Where we choose courage over comfort, and love above all things.

In the context of that balance and harmony, we are not simply choosing one side over another. We see what the polarity is revealing, an opportunity to clear out and unravel faulty motives, and to come into greater balance, whatever that may look like.

𝓩𝓸𝓸𝓶𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓸𝓾𝓽, 𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓸 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓰𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓔𝓺𝓾𝓲𝓷𝓸𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓪𝓵 𝓒𝔂𝓬𝓵𝓮

And when we widen our gaze beyond our own experience or that of a single equinox moment, the reorientation becomes even more profound, because we see that equinox itself is a continuous movement.

Earth does not simply orbit the Sun while cycling through the seasons. Its axis is also engaged in an extraordinarily slow movement known as precession of the equinoxes.

A bit like a spinning top tracing a great circle through the heavens, where the orientation of Earth’s axis gradually changes and completes a cycle over approximately 26,000 years.

And with each equinox, while there are constant moments of rebalance and recalibration, we never return to precisely the same place within the greater celestial story.

A story equally as true on the macro as on the micro level. When we move in right relationship with life rather than doing battle with it, we see a gradual and constant movement towards evolution.

There will always be cycles within cycles, days do spiral into years, years into generations and all of these are held within planetary and celestial movements so vast that no individual lifetime can witness their completion. 

We simply understand we are part of a greater weaving story through which we do indeed have an impact.

There is something humbling in this, simply because what often appears meaningless or mundane from the perspective of “one human life”

is actually contributing to a greater movement when viewed through a greater measure of time just as the ancients did throughout time. 

Even our orientation towards the stars changes. The celestial pole shifts across millennia and the position of the equinox slowly moves against the background of the stars. The heavens often appear eternal from our physical perspective, yet we encounter them from an Earth that is continually and almost imperceptibly reorienting itself.

In astrological traditions, this vast precessional movement has also become associated with the great ages, immense chapters of time through which humanity moves. Whether we approach these ages literally, symbolically or mythically, they offer another lens through which to contemplate relationship and change.

And, as we have explored before through reflecting on the Yuga cycles, we are moving out of the denser point of a much greater cycle and into an ascending phase, where our awareness of the more subtle and energetic nature of existence gradually expands.

So, in no uncertain terms, we are a part of a greater unfolding story. One that asks… what story do we wish to tell? Because in this existence here, despite the happenings around us, we always have free will, and in this way we can always choose between that of love and fear.

And the equinox places great emphasis on where we are in that choosing.

𝓞𝓾𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓐𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓸𝓵𝓸𝓰𝓲𝓬𝓪𝓵 𝓲𝓷𝓯𝓵𝓾𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮𝓼

To add to the greater picture, during this equinox Sedna forms a trine with Pluto in Aquarius, and the influence of Salacia can also be felt.

Pluto, as we have explored, draws us beneath the surface, beyond appearances and towards what has been buried.

And being in Aquarius draws our attention to our networks, communities, technologies and systems, and towards the evolving relationship between individual freedom and our collective participation.

Sedna, forming a trine with Pluto, is long associated with death, rebirth, renewal and regeneration. Her immense orbit carries her into extraordinarily distant regions of our Solar System, with one journey around the Sun taking approximately 12,000 years. To contemplate Sedna is to encounter deep time, where a human lifetime becomes momentary against such an orbit. Entire civilizations can rise and disappear during a single passage around the Sun.

Through her mythology and later astrological symbolism, Sedna carries us into themes of transformation and alchemy, her story revealing that darkness is not simply the absence of light, but a necessary stage of gestation.

Salacia, the trans-Neptunian object, on the other hand, brings movement through the expression of water. Long associated with the sea and in particular salt water, she offers a beautiful image for the intelligence of movement over stagnation. 

Water is not only powerfully reflective, as we have explored, it is quite literally everywhere. Within us, around us, in the air we breathe, throughout the Earth and extending far beyond it into the cosmos. Existing in different forms, creating seen and unseen currents throughout physical and non-physical existence itself.

Water reflects to us, that equilibrium doesn’t arise through remaining still, it’s found through movement. It yields to life without surrendering its nature, it changes form according to the conditions it encounters, becoming mist, rain, river, ice and ocean while remaining fundamentally itself. 

This offers another mirror into the way balance is adaptable, and emerges through a reciprocal process.

Nature continually demonstrates that a forest does not exist through sameness, an ocean does not contain only calm water and the cosmos itself is not an arrangement of identical forces. Coherence naturally arises through right relationship and balance. 

This is also beautifully reflected in the equinox itself, because as the Earth moves into two seemingly opposite seasonal experiences, we see a type of magic unfolding. 

For those of entering spring, new growth appears, days lengthen and the movement towards emergence begins.

For those entering autumn there is a sacred movement into release, where what decomposes becomes soil for seeds of the new, a process that must be fully honoured to yield its fruits. 

In this way we see spectacularly how we can hold many seasons within ourselves. Parts will be entering spring while others are entering autumn. Something may be emerging at precisely the same time while something else is being released. 

We are often beginning and ending simultaneously, expanding and returning to stillness, becoming more visible while allowing an old identities to dissolve.

All of which draws us back to the focus and deeper invitations of equinox.

A time to ponder 💭

How willing am I to engage with the dance unfolding within?

Be encouraged to step all the way in, and simply notice where you are within your own spiralling journey.

Some questions to support contemplation:

What feels out of balance and in need of recalibration?

What parts want to fall away, and how can I allow them?

What is emerging, and how can I support it?

How truly willing am I to move into deeper flow with life, beyond the rigidity of what I already know and into that which I do not yet know, as water is reflecting in these moments?

There may be intuitive answers or no immediate answer at all.

Whatever the case may be, what we are doing here is allowing the dance to unfold naturally, in the same way that the Earth doesn’t simply stop at equinox in order to restore balance; it continues moving, and so too do we.
